Getting Started

Overview

Pay in Local Currency (PILC) allows businesses across Africa to purchase global software subscriptions using their local currency instead of paying in US Dollars.

Rather than sourcing foreign exchange, funding international cards, or managing cross-border payments, you can pay using familiar local payment methods while still receiving the same genuine software licenses from the original vendor.

How does PILC work?

Getting started is simple:

  1. Select your software and plan.
  2. Choose the number of licenses you need.
  3. View the price in your local currency.
  4. Complete payment using available local payment methods.
  5. Your order is processed.
  6. Your licenses are provisioned through the software vendor.

Why should I buy through Novotech Works?

Purchasing

Do I need an existing Asana account?

Yes.

Your organization must have an existing Asana workspace before licenses can be assigned.

If you don't already have one, you can create a free Asana workspace here.

Can I get a quotation first?

Yes.

If you need internal procurement approval, simply request a quotation during checkout or contact our support team at payments@novotechworks.com.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum purchase quantity is five (5) licenses.

Licenses can only be purchased in multiples of five (5, 10, 15, 20, and so on).

How long does it take to activate my Asana license?

Most orders are processed within 2–3 business days after successful payment. Once your order has been processed, you will receive confirmation by email.

What happens if my payment fails?

If your payment isn't successful, no licenses will be issued. You can retry your payment or contact our support team at payments@novotechworks.com for assistance.

Managing Your Subscription

Can I upgrade my plan?

Yes.

If your business needs change, you can request an upgrade to a higher-tier plan, subject to the software vendor's licensing policies.

Our team will:

  1. Review your current subscription.
  2. Provide a revised quotation.
  3. Coordinate the upgrade with the software vendor.
  4. Ensure your users experience minimal disruption during the transition.

Can I add more users?

Yes.

You can purchase additional licenses at any time during your subscription period.

Depending on the software vendor's licensing model, additional licenses may be:

  • Co-termed with your existing subscription, meaning they expire on the same renewal date.
  • Priced on a prorated basis for the remainder of your current subscription term.

For assistance, contact payments@novotechworks.com.

Can I renew early?

Yes.

You can renew your subscription before its expiration date. Early renewals are often recommended if:

  • Your organization requires lengthy procurement approvals.
  • You want to avoid service interruptions.
  • You're coordinating renewals with your budgeting cycle.

To request an early renewal quotation, contact payments@novotechworks.com.

What happens if I don't renew?

If your subscription is not renewed before it expires:

  • Your software vendor may suspend or restrict access to premium features.
  • Users may lose access according to the vendor's licensing policy.
  • Administrative functions and collaboration capabilities may become limited.
  • Data retention policies will be governed by the software vendor's terms.

To avoid disruption, we recommend renewing before your subscription expires.
